The people have spoken! We asked our Facebook fans to tell us the BEST cocktail in Lodi…
The results are in. Our winner is Rosewood Bar & Grill!
Centrally located in Historic Downtown Lodi, Rosewood Bar & Grill is a great place to get not only a delicious farm-to-table meal but also top-of-the-line cocktails.
We decided to take one for the team and try some delicious winning drinks! We asked bartender Drew (#1) which cocktails Rosewood Bar & Grill does best and what’s popular. It turns out most drinks on their menu are house originals, so good choices abound – but the following cocktails are wildly popular:
The Tang Martini:
Smirnoff orange vodka, DeKuyper triple sec, fresh squeezed lime, orange juice – $8
Citrus with a twist – the Tang Martini
is light and refreshing! Does anyone remember the vintage drink, “Tang”? This Tang is delightfully reminiscent of its predecessor with a zingy spin. Definitely a winner.
46 Side Car:
Makers 46, Patron Citronage, fresh squeezed lemon juice – $11
Mm, love that lemon zing! The 46 Side Car
is Rosewood’s take on an Old Fashioned. Crafted with Patrone and Makers with a hint of lemon juice, this robust, flavorful drink is smooth and classy. Watch out – they don’t skimp on the alcohol!
Smirnoff citrus vodka, DeKuyper triple sec, fresh squeezed lime, splash of cranberry juice – $8
What a clever balance of flavors! Rosewood’s Cosmo is easy to drink – fruity, but not overbearing. A subtle hint of lime balances the drink so that it’s not overly sweet. It’s also not overly strong, for people who aren’t typically liquor drinkers.
Over all our team found that no drink was lacking in quality or flavor. We paired them with a delicious assorted cheese plate and garlic fries, which were equally delicious. The upscale yet laidback atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the service was excellent. (Drew #1, hats off to you!)
