The restaurant has an industrial and rustic design aesthetic, and a convivial vibe. After a warm greeting by a host, the first thing I noticed was communal seating tables in the main dining area. I opted to sit in the separate cozy bar area with tall metal bar stools gathered around wood-topped tables. There is a chalkboard wall with a diverse selection of adult beverages. A deep selection of craft beers is the star of the menu which also includes cider and local wines.
My server was friendly and guided me through the simple but enticing menu, along with a separate specialty cocktails menu. I opted for an Andouille sausage, topped with roasted garlic aioli sauce, and a Beet and Orange Salad. In addition to your choice of three house-made sauces, all the sausages are topped with pickled red onion, and sauerkraut: all served on a grilled French roll.
The sausage was perfectly tender and juicy with just the right amount of spice. The sauce and topping provided an enticing flavorful punch and textural crunch that complemented the sausage. My salad was fresh, crisp and bursting with flavor.
